Accreditations & Professional Memberships
In addition to appointments by the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (AMTRAK), and the International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN), Azumano Travel is affiliated with, has membership in, is accredited by, or has appointments with a number of travel-related organizations. These include:

American Express Travel Services Network
Azumano Travel is an independently owned member of the American Express Travel Services network of more than 1,700 wholly owned and representative offices in 130 countries. This means clients have access to the vast resources, innovative products, financial services and consulting arm of this major player in the global travel industry.

American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA)
ASTA is recognized as the majority voice of the travel agent distribution system. Azumano have long been active in ASTA, with staff members holding prominent leadership positions over the years. ASTA members are bound by a strict code of ethics and principles. ASTA has an active consumer affairs department that helps resolve disputes between travelers, agents, suppliers and other travel firms. ASTA also sponsors an aggressive grassroots lobbying campaign to support legislation that champions the rights of all air passengers.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)
The official trade organization of the cruise industry, Cruise Lines International Association also works in partnership with nearly 17,000 affiliated travel agencies throughout North America to ensure the highest caliber of cruise sales expertise and service for cruise vacationers. The function of CLIA is to promote the cruise product generically to both the selling agent and buying public through the broad activities of travel agent training, public relations and advertising. CLIA's end objective is to raise awareness about the cruise experience.

Meeting Professionals International (MPI)
The global authority and resource for the meeting industry, MPI provides invaluable information about the meeting industry that enables members to stay abreast of the latest trends, news and issues affecting the industry. It also offers educational opportunities and peer-to-peer interaction on local and international levels, equipping members with the knowledge and know-how to serve clients' meeting needs with the utmost expertise and professionalism.

National Academy Foundation, Academy of Travel and Tourism
Launched in 1987, the Academy of Travel & Tourism provides public high school students with the requisite knowledge and skills for a successful career in what many consider to be the world's largest service industry. The Academy curriculum offers an in-depth look at all aspects of travel, tourism and hospitality, including coursework in geography, economics, and systems applications. A member program of the National Academy Foundation (NAF), the Academy of Travel & Tourism operates as a "school within a school" and is located in more than 159 high schools nationwide.

National Business Travel Association (NBTA)
The National Business Travel Association represents over 2,400 corporate travel managers and travel service providers. NBTA members manage and direct more than 70% of expenditures within the business travel industry. NBTA is committed to the professional development of its members and offers educational and training opportunities. It is the source for critical information on the business travel industry. Azumano is a member of both the NBTA and the Oregon Chapter of the NBTA.

Northwest Minority Business Council (NMBC)
Azumano is a certified Minority Business Enterprise of the Northwest Minority Business Council and maintains annual membership in the NMBC. The NMBC is a certified regional council of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). The goals of the Northwest Minority Business Council are to expand business opportunities for minority firms, to encourage mutually beneficial economic links between minority suppliers and the public sector and to help build a stronger, more equitable society by supporting and promoting minority business development. Since 1976, the NMBC has served Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska in providing business development assistance on two fronts: (1) Assisting corporate members in starting, expanding and promoting supplier diversity programs; (2) Furnishing certified MBEs with access, technical assistance, training and the support needed to grow and market their products and services to prospective buyers.

Society of Government Travel Professionals (SGTP)
The Society of Government Travel Professionals is the national forum of the government travel market and is dedicated to improving professionalism of government travel management through conferences and other activities. It supports daily efforts of its members to develop, improve and extend cost-effectiveness of federal, state, and local government and contractor travel programs and to serve all the needs of their travelers.
