Rebecca's Regional Recommendations

"A Walk In The Park" is a wonderful annual event in Carlton. I look forward to it every year. It has a full musical lineup, local artists selling crafts (65 last year), local restaurants selling great food (this is a classy event) and the wine tent is exceptional! Tastings are well priced. There is good beer (no PBR or fizzy yellow water at this event). I'm going Sunday for my favorite musical performance, though that's not a statement that really describes this performance group. It's called the March Fourth Marching Band, with dancers on stilts, a sound melding Europe brass and New Orleans audacity with plenty of spirit and rhythm that just makes joyfully fun toe-tapping music! All the proceeds go to local charities. The parking is fre, and for $15 you get a delightful day under the trees sipping wine, nibbling and wandering, rejuvenating the reason why you love Oregon! For fun for this weekend, drive to Carlton! http://www.carltonswalkinthepark.com/
