Historical Buildings in Japan

There are many beautiful historical buildings in Japan, which the Japanese are trying to preserve to their original state. Himeji Castle is one of the "must see" spots when you visit Japan. The renovation started last year (2009), and is going to be completed in 2014. Meanwhile, tourists can still go into limited areas inside of the castle.
Kabukiza Theater in Ginza/Tokyo has been showing its unique appearance for 70 years, and is now experiencing the rebuilding process. They are building a new 29-story tower, but will be preserving the beautiful front part of the old theater. The blue print of its interior is somewhat resembling the atmosphere of the old theater, but with the concept of all modern technologies. It is completely barrier free as well, for wheel chairs!
The famous red brick 3 storied JR Tokyo Station-Marunouchi was built in 1914, and began a total renovation two years ago preserving all of its beautiful architectural aspects. When it's done in 2011, it’s going to be illuminated by lights. Light-up starts at the sunset every evening and continues until 9 PM, going off gradually from the bottom part of the long spread building. The computer image looked quite nice!
