New Non-Smoking Policy on Princess Cruise Lines
by Rebecca Bliefernich on June 15, 2011 |

Cruise lines have been restricting smoking areas for years, some have even banned it in all public spaces. A select few have enacted policies strictly prohibiting smoking in all personal cabins. Princess Cruise Line has just announced their new policy for all sailing starting January 15th of 2012. No smoking in any cabin. If you get caught, even on the balcony, the fine is $250 and it's posted to the cabin account. That fine can be assessed every time the violation occurs. Princess will continue to offer several smoking friendly locations on the ship. There is the cigar lounge, a section in the casino, and a small section in one of the nightclubs. Out on the decks there will be designated areas too.
Now all passengers who are allergic to smoke can travel on any Princess ship next year knowing that all the bedding and room fabrics are smoke free! With Princess leading the way I'm sure more cruise lines will consider making a similar policy on their fleet.

| Fantastic!! Now maybe we can enjoy our balcony without the second hand smoke!!! Why don't they make the ships all non-smoking? |
