About Us
Azumano International began as the inbound tour division of Azumano Travel in 1980. In the beginning, Azumano International was focused on promoting the state of Oregon by creating avenues for foreign travel targeting business trips and individual travel. By the mid-1980's, Azumano International's efforts at promoting travel to the state reached new levels. In 1984, Azumano International supervised all of the travel logistics and location arrangements for a Japanese television company filming a TV drama located in Oregon during their 120 day shoot. Around the same time, Azumano International began to expand into educational programs and cultural exchanges for students and adults. By 1989, over 1,200 students annually participated in our homestay and educational tours in Oregon. In 2004, educational tours were expanded to include the greater Seattle area. With offices in both Portland and Seattle, Azumano International currently conducts tours of various kinds throughout the Pacific Northwest. We handle over 1,000 individual package tours per season for international customers, including ticket packages for the MLB Seattle Mariners. Azumano International's strong ties with the community, including local schools and businesses, allow us to create quality programs for tourists, students, municipal governments, sister cities, and other special or technical groups. Our goal is to work with individuals and groups to create a customized comprehensive tour package that meets each client's personal needs. |
