Day 1: Arrival in Portland

Arrive at Portland International Airport. A local guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Portland

This day is at your own convenience. You can either explore the "City of Roses" on your own or contact us for one of our Optional Tours.

Day 3: Portland - Mt. Hood - Bend (205 miles)

The rental car will be delivered to your hotel by 10 am. Your first trip will take you to Mt. Hood, Portland's closest skiing resort. After lunch you will drive down to Bend, where your hotel room will be waiting for you.

Day 4: Bend - Burns (131 miles)

Today's trip takes you to Burns, Oregon's gateway to the scenic Steens Mountains.

Day 5: Burns - Ontario (131 miles)

Ontario is located on the very eastern edge of Oregon. Visit the Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario to gather information about the diverse cultural heritage of the settlers in the Ontario area.

Day 6: Ontario - Baker City (74 miles)

Baker City is located west of Hell's Canyon, North America's deepest canyon. Over 110 homes and buildings are on the national Historic Register in Baker City and the Adler House Museum offers guided tours of the 1880s homes.

Day 7: Baker City - Halfway - Hells Canyon Overlook - Enterprise (133 miles)

Today you will enjoy the breathtaking scenery in Hells Canyon. Stop at Hells Canyon overlook to take pictures of this beautiful natural wonder.

Day 8: Enterprise

Use the day to explore the region or enjoy water sports at Wallowa Lake, South of Joseph.

Day 9: Enterprise - La Grande - Pendleton (116 miles)

Stop in La Grande for lunch and visit the Think Link Discovery Center. See real cowboys and experience what the old West was really like in Pendleton.

Day 10: Pendleton - Portland (211 miles)

On your way back to Portland, take the scenic highway to Multnomah Falls and the Bonneville Dam.
