One-Year Exchange Program

The academic year program aims to deepen the knowledge and understanding of foreign and North American cultures through homestay and academic experiences in the United States.

In collaboration with schools, host families, and partner agencies, Azumano strives to provide the foreign students with a comprehensive academic program. An Azumano International staff member is on call for support 24 hours a day and is available for weekly visits to discuss emotional, physical, and academic system progress with each student.

Focusing on a comprehensive support, Azumano International's academic program has continued for over 12 years. Cost to participants is $8,000 to 11,500, including ground transportation, meals, homestay arrangement, orientation, program coordinator, 24-hour assistance, monthly school visits, host family visits, preparation of correspondence between the school and parents, and quarterly updates to parents.

Short-Term Program

The short-term program aims at introducing American culture and family lifestyle to the foreign students through homestays. Although programs of various lengths are offered, all programs are designed to provide multicultural experiences that will widen global understanding for both students and host families.

The short-term program participants are exposed to American culture and lifestyle by staying with American host families who are encouraged to include their host students in their daily routine. There are also various half-day and full-day trips that introduce the history of Oregon and Washington.

Cost to participants is $800 to $2500, including ground transportation, meals, homestay arrangement, orientation, ESL classes, half/full day trips, program coordinator, and 24-hour assistance.
